Advanced Power Technologies LLC, is a national contractor that performs lighting, sign and electrical design installation and maintenance. We are currently seeking Lighting Retrofitters and Relampers. Work consists primarily of changing lamps and ballast and/or removal and installation of new light fixtures.

 

Requirements

This position is a performance based position with pay based upon piece rate. We are seeking individuals with good agility, communication skills as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment. In addition you must be able to complete daily paperwork, i.e. (time sheets, work orders, etc.) and set up and safely work off of 12′ step ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts and bucket trucks. You must possess a valid driver’s license and will require a DOT medical card. This job will require out of town work, therefore the individual must be available to travel for a minimum of 1-3 weeks when necessary and be willing to room with one co-worker when out of town. Applicants must have transportation to drive to/from the office.  Company will provide transportation when traveling out of town. Applicants must also provide their own tools. We are a drug free workplace.

Applicant should be computer literate, organized, detailed, highly motivated, willing to work some overtime, very knowledgeable in high and low voltage electrical, lighting, and signage industry, have or be able to get a CDL class B license. In addition you must be able to complete daily paperwork, i.e. (time sheets, work orders, etc.) and set up and safely work off of 12′ step ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts and bucket trucks. Job Information

We are currently seeking Remote Electrical Route Technicians.  Responsible for all aspects of customer electrical needs including the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform panel surveys and pole surveys; include all required paperwork as needed.
  • Provide monthly interior and exterior Route Service; lamps, ballast, emergency fixtures test, hoist inspections, pole inspections, etc.
  • Follow safety procedures, rules and regulations at all times.
  • Perform signage repairs (LED, Neon, Lamps, Ballast, Faces etc.) as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory on truck.
  • Responsible for keeping truck and bins clean and neat.
  • Responsible for maintaining warehouse clean.
  • Responsible for placing weekly material replenishment order.
  • Responsible for responding to e-mails in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for needed truck repairs and maintaining DOT and Fleet Logs.
  • Responsible for keeping truck and bins clean and neat.
  • Provide detailed and accurate paper work.
  • Responsible for updating and accurately entering information in mobile field technology.
  • Perform other job related responsibilities and functions as directed by Management.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Electrician.
  • High school diploma or a GED.
  • Minimum 4 years commercial lighting experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Bucket/ Aerial Lift experience at heights greater than 20’ preferred.
  • Knowledge of lamps and ballast preferred.
  • Strong electrical trouble shooting skills.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code.
  • Low Voltage knowledge preferred.
  • Strong computer skills preferred.
  • Organized and able to effectively manage time.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Ability to follow directions.
